Navy vs. Memphis College Football Predictions, Preview & NCAAF Betting Tips
We have Navy vs. Memphis College Football Predictions, Preview & NCAAF Betting Tips for the Thursday September 26 game at Liberty Bowl Stadium.
Two undefeated teams do battle this Wednesday, with the 3-0 Tigers hosting the 2-0 Navy Midshipmen.
One team will suffer their first loss of the 2019 NCAAF season, but another will rocket clear of their opposition.
Navy Midshipmen Predictions
Navy has been one of the more impressive teams in the American Athletic Conference. They defeated the Holy Cross Crusaders 45-7 in opening week before beating East Carolina.
The 42-10 win over the Pirates was a dominant display of football and it puts them in good shape against a dangerous Memphis team.
However, Navy is more than capable of dealing with the pressure. They have a dynamic offense which has put up an average of 43.5 points per game.
Quarterback Malcolm Perry is a dual-threat with 11-16 passing and 34 carries on the ground. His ability to rush can give opposing defenses fits and it’s a top reason why they’re so successful.

Perry has a total of two passing touchdowns and five rushing. Their leading receiver is CJ Williams, who has only three receptions for 117 yards and two touchdowns.
Navy is certainly a run-heavy offense and that has won them many games.
Defensively, they couldn’t have started any better. They are giving up 8.5 points per game and that’s quite an impressive start to their season.
It will be tested against a top Memphis offense but it will be interesting to see how they perform against the better college teams.
Memphis Tigers Predictions
At 3-0, the Memphis Tigers are in a good position to make a run for the conference title.
They were tested in their opening game against Ole Miss (15-10) but they came through that tough game and have impressed in two games since.
Comprehensive wins over the Southern Jaguars and South Alabama have put them in a winning position early in the season.
Quarterback Brady White has been solid without being extraordinary. He has thrown for 718 yards for five touchdowns, but he also has two interceptions.
Turnovers could be key against this Navy defense and he’ll need to be more accurate with his passing.

Expect running back Kenneth Gainwell to get plenty of opportunities. He has rushed for 307 yards and three touchdowns on 48 carries.
Those numbers aren’t overly impressive, but he gives them another offensive threat. Memphis do like to pass the ball and Damonte Coxie, with 15 receptions for 237 yards, has benefited from that.
Defensively, the Tigers match up almost identically with Navy. Both teams allow 226 yards per game and there’s nothing separating them.
If Memphis are going to win this College Football game, they’ll need to sustain drives against this pesky and tough Navy defense.

Navy vs. Memphis College Football Predictions
We’re expecting the Memphis Tigers to win this game, but it’s going to be closer than many expect.
Navy loves this matchup and their strong running game should be enough to keep this game close. Using a rushing attack denies the opposing team time with the ball and that’s a positive.
They have won three of the last four against Memphis and getting 10 points is a great line.
Bettors should take the points with Navy and enjoy what should be a quality Thursday night game.
