2019 MLB World Series Odds & Preview

The three best teams with the best betting odds to win the World Series this season are from the AL while the best odds from the NL are from the Dodgers, who have lost the last two Fall Classics.

New York Yankees +600

The Yankees have the offense led by Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and they added Troy Tulowitzki and DJ LeMahieu. The bullpen may be the best in baseball, but the aging staff is an issue, but did re-sign J.A. Happ and brought in James Paxton.

Houston Astros +650

The 2017 World Series winners ranked 6th in the Majors in runs last season with the help from Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, and George Springer. They lost some starting pitching and Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole have to repeat their solid 2018 seasons for Houston to get back to the World Series.

Boston Red Sox +650

The Red Sox are the defending World Series champions and while they have a legit lineup and staff the losses of Joe Kelly and closer Craig Kimbrel may hurt. Still, with Ace Chris Sale and reigning MVP Mookie Betts the team is loaded yet again and looks for their 5th World Series win since the 2004 season.

Los Angeles Dodgers +815

The Dodgers have been the bridesmaid the last two seasons and they made some moves in the off-season letting go Yasmani Grandal, Matt Kemp, Yasiel Puig, and mid-season addition Manny Machado. Ace Clayton Kershaw heads into the season with arm issues and that is scary for L.A. fans.

Philadelphia Phillies +950

The Phillies went big in the off-season with the big-name signing of Bryce Harper and they also brought in J.T. Realmuto, SS Jean Segura, and Andrew McCutchen. Philadelphia spent big to try to break their six-year playoff drought.

Cleveland Indians +1300

Corey Kluber leads a staff for Cleveland that has great starters, but a sketchy bullpen. They signed Carlos Santana and Jake Bauers to offset the losses of Michael Brantley, Edwin Encarnacion, and Yonder Alonso. It helps the Tribe plays in the weakest division in the Majors in the AL Central.

Chicago Cubs +1350

The Cubs are looking for their 5th post-season berth and the team was not very active in the off-season. Still, Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo lead a good lineup and the staff is pretty deep led by veteran Jon Lester.

St. Louis Cardinals +1350

The Cardinals improved their lineup and staff in the off-season brining in Paul Goldschmidt and Andrew Miller. The pitching and lineup have to be solid with a defense that made the most errors last season.

Washington Nationals +1500

The Nats lost Bryce Harper, but luckily the team has a great staff that added Patrick Corbin, Anibal Sanchez and Jeremy Hellickson to go with Aces Max Scherzer and Stephen Strasburg. Juan Soto had a great rookie campaign and looks to avoid sophomore slump.

Milwaukee Brewers +1725

The Brew crew have the offense led by reigning MVP Christian Yelich and all-star Lorenzo Cain, but the pitching is a concern yet again. Jimmy Nelson hopes to come back strong from injury, starting pitching in Milwaukee is pretty thin.

Atlanta Braves +2350

The Braves are the defending NL East champions and they have a great young staff and lineup. Rookie of the Year Ronald Acuna had a historic season and Freddie Freeman is one of the best young players in the Majors.

New York Mets +2500

The Mets have the arms led by by Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom and fellow Ace Noah Syndergaard, but are the additions of Robinson Cano and Jed Lowrie enough to fix a lineup that only ranked 23rd in the Majors last season in runs scored?
