The offense for the Giants is amongst the bottom in nearly every category. San Fran’s offense has had contributions from a number of players. As of late their most consistent guy has been Mike Yastrzemski. The rookie has a .278 average and 17 HRs in only 75 games. He brings power and the ability to gather base hits to the top of the lineup.

Kevin Pillar who was acquired via trade early this year leads the team in HRs at 19, as well as RBIS, hits and stolen bases.

Other offensive cogs are Brandon Belt, Evan Longoria, Buster Posey, and Brandon Crawford. They all have been just average this season but can produce in any given game.

A’s Form

The Oakland A’s are projected to start Chris Bassitt. Bassitt is 9-5 with a 3.61 Era over 21 starts. He has a pretty good body of work this season.

Bassitt has had some phenomenal starts this season and his bad ones are average. He’s done a good job at home this year as he’s 5-2, and limited hitters to a .220 average at home.

He’s gathered a majority of fly ball outs this season. As of late, Bassitt has been pretty good not allowing more than 3 ER and gone 6 IP in his last 4 starts. Bassitt has beaten three really good offenses over that stretch as well.

The Oakland A’s have been playing well as of late 7-3 in their last 10 and they are 42-24 at home this year. The offense of the A’s is capable of scoring in bunches. They are consistent and are well ranked in offensive categories across the league.

The A’s have big power bats in Matt Chapman, Matt Olson, and Khris Davis. Marcus Siemien brings both power and ability to collect hits to the lineup as well. Breakout performer Ramon Laureano is currently on the IL for the A’s. Athletics have a good offensive core and can have guys fill in to contribute when needed.

Giants vs. A’s Saturday MLB Predictions

Overall the A’s are a better team and play very well at home. Even against a tough pitcher the A’s should be able to manage well offensively and score.

Bassitt has been pitching well and will be able to collect outs and work efficiently vs the mediocre Giants lineup.

For these reasons look for the A’s to win this game.
