The Indians vs Astros series should be an interesting look at two talented teams.
Cleveland would have hoped to start to season slightly better than their current 13-10 record. Houston is travelling well enough at 14-9 and the winner of this game will get a good momentum boost for the rest of the series.
Bettors have been cashing in from sports bookmakers so far this season and we’re hoping that continues.
Both teams have MLB Playoff aspirations and with two quality pitchers on the mound, this MLB Thursday game should be great.
Cleveland Indians Form
The Indians have a 13-10 record, which is a little below par at this stage. They haven’t been helped by playing 12 of their 23 games away from home, where they have a 6-6 away record.
They come into this game having lost three consecutive games. Back-to-back losses to the Braves, followed up with a loss to the Marlins has seen the Indians slip down the rankings.
Most bettors know they’re a better team than they have been showing recently. Sending pitcher Trevor Bauer to the mount should help, however.
Bauer is 2-1 with an ERA of 2.20. The RHP has pitched 32.2 innings this season for only 19 hits and 42 strike outs. The problem for Baurer has been his
13 walks, but he has been strong otherwise.
Striking out this talented Houston team could be tough, but he’s a quality pitcher.
Cleveland does have injury troubles to worry about. The likes of Mike Clevinger, Bradley Zimmer and Carlos Carrasco are on the injured list, which doesn’t help.
Houston Astros Form
Plenty was expected of the Astros this season and at 14-9, they’re delivering somewhat. Losing three games on the bounce wasn’t a good look, but they rebounded.
They come into this game having scored a 10-4 win over Minnesota, which stopped the bleeding. Playing at home has been good for the Astros, which own a 7-1 record at Minute Maid Park.
Houston has also managed to stay injury free for the first 23 games of the season. Other big-name teams are struggling to stay healthy as this is an asset for the home side.
Starting pitcher Gerrit Cole hasn’t been the force he was last season. Cole is 1-3 with an ERA of 5.22. He has given up 26 hits on 29 innings of work and he will need to find his stuff quickly.
He’s a big name in the Astros’ rotation and we’re expecting quick improvement from the former Pirate.

Cleveland Indians vs Houston Astro MLB Thursday Tips
There are pros and cons for backing both sides here. The Indians are a force when Bauer pitches for him against the Astros, but Houston are tough to beat at home.
We’re giving the slight edge to Houston on MLB Thursday. They have lost only one home game all season and that’s tough to go past.
