NBA Betting Tips, Preview & Betting Predictions – Celtics vs Bucks Game 3

The Bucks vs Celtics Series has been a cracker to date and we have NBA Betting Tips for Game 3 this Friday’s game.

Not in the NBA Playoffs thus far have there been two different games to open a series. However, that allows interest to remain the series into what could happen next, and with the series level at one game apiece; game three could be significant in one team gaining the upper hand in the best of seven series between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks.

The second game of this series has put the Bucks back into contention, after a 112-90 defeat on Sunday to the Celtics left the top-seeded team’s hopes hanging by a thread. However, any questions that were raised after that match have been effectively and emphatically answered.

The Greek Freak steps up

Giannis Antetokounmpo had been pointed out as somebody that had to step up his game after a sluggish start to the playoffs, and the Greek player did that in a big way in front of his home fans on Tuesday evening.

He led the team with 29 points and ten rebounds. The team as a whole was much improved from the disastrous showing on Sunday evening, and the productivity showed that from beyond the arc. They shot 42.6% from there on Tuesday, compared to 33.3% from game one.

Eric Bledsoe
Eric Bledsoe was deadly in Game 2 for the Bucks.

Kris Middleton led the team in this regard, as he knocked down seven three-pointers on his way to 28 points for the team. Another big question going into game three was the number of players scoring double-digit figures. That was something that was answered; as five different players achieved that.

Eric Bledsoe was the next highest of those with 21 points, while George Hill and Brook Lopez each scored ten points apiece. Bledsoe managed his points tally on 7-of-12 shooting.

Was Boston’s Game 1 win a fluke?

The most worrying factor for the Celtics was just how alarmingly big the difference in class was when the Bucks turned it on. In the second half, they pulled away from their opponents with a run of 28-2; meaning that the contest was effectively over before the fourth quarter even began. Throughout the third period, the Bucks outscored the Celtics 39-18.

It should come as no surprise that the Celtics endured a lousy night since Kyrie Irving struggled throughout the contest. He finished with just nine points after shooting 4-of-18.

While Irving will undoubtedly get the vast majority of questions asked towards him since he is the star in this team; the Celtics as a whole were massively disappointing offensively. They only connected on 39% of shots in the field, and 35.6% from beyond the arc.

Both of these were down for their recorded stats in the win on Sunday; where they recorded 52% and 42% respectively.

It could be put down as a bad night, but they now have to ensure that they don’t collapse as the series moves to Boston.

NBA Betting Tips – Celtics vs Bucks Game 3 Tips

The contrasting numbers didn’t lie for the Celtics in game two; they were poor. However, the Bucks seem to have recovered their regular season form and the points tally for Antetokounmpo would have been a pleasant sight for all Milwaukee fans.

This is a fascinating Game 3 and should the Bucks perform as they did in game two and the Celtics like they did in game one; it could be a thrilling encounter. However, the Bucks will reign supreme, and take the ascendancy in this series.
