NBA Betting Tips, Predictions & Preview – Celtics vs Bucks Game 5

We have NBA Betting Tips for Game 5 between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks.

Milwaukee has come out of this series looking like a force to be reckoned with. They manhandled the Celtics to take a 3-1 lead back to Fiserv Forum this Wednesday.

In a series that looked like it could be competitive after the Celtics won Game 1, it hasn’t been that. Bucks have exerted their class by winning three consecutive games.

Can the Bucks close out the series and head to the Eastern Conference Final? Or, will the Celtics and Kyrie Irving come together as a unit?

Check out all our NBA sports betting tips.

Boston Celtics Form & News

Kyrie Irving walking off the court before time expired in Game 4 tells bettors all they need to know. The Celtics may have given up on this series, but there’s too much talent to write them off.

Irving could be looking for a new team next season and if he has given up hope, then the Celtics are no chance of winning this game. He has shot his worst career percentage this series and he is missing many wide-open shots and lay ups.

Kyrie needs to come up big for the Celtics.

The Celtics’ success doesn’t all rely on Irving, however, but he’s a key part of their team.

“The expectations on me are going to be sky high,” Irving said at the post-game conference. “I try to utilize their aggression against them and still put my teammates in great positions while still being aggressive.

“I’m trying to do it all…I’m that great of a shooter.”

Irving’s opinion of himself might not sit well with his teammates and that’s the biggest problem. They don’t look like they’re enjoying playing NBA Playoff basketball.

This could be a time for someone like Terry Rozier to be given more game time.

Milwaukee Bucks Form & News

The Bucks were the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference and they’re showing why. They are playing great team basketball and having Giannis on your side certainly helps. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been a one-man wrecking machine during the playoffs and he has one hand on the MVP trophy.

He’s scoring at will in the paint and he’s seemingly unstoppable with a full head of steam. His incredible wingspan makes it tough for defenders to not foul him and Boston is struggling. He’s
shooting a record amount of free throws and Boston’s average defense just isn’t coping.

Of course, Milwaukee wouldn’t be where they are without a supporting cast. Khris Middleton has been knocking down timely three pointers and the Bucks could get back another star.

Middleton isn’t worried about playing a desperate Celtics team.

“We don’t really worry about them at all – who we’re playing against, who they have on their roster and whatnot,” Middleton said.

“All we do is worry about ourselves and our team and what we need to do.”

Malcolm Brogdon could return for Game 5 and that’s just going to give the Celtics even more headaches.

BetOnline has the current points spread at 9. We have little doubt that Milwaukee will win this game but covering the spread is another question.

Underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

NBA Betting Tips – Celtics vs Bucks Predictions

The Milwaukee Bucks should be winning Game 5 and earning a nice rest before the Eastern Conference Finals start.

Whether or not they cover the nine-point spread is the question. We believe the Celtics have somewhat given up on their season and they could be subject to another double-digit loss.

There should be strong action with bookmakers for Bucks and the line could move.
