Utah Jazz vs L.A. Clippers – NBA Wednesday Preview

Utah Jazz vs L.A. Clippers tips

It’s the final day of the regular season before the Playoffs begin and we have Utah Jazz vs L.A. Clippers tips.

The Jazz are in the NBA Playoffs and are a lock for the 5th seed and will face the Portland Trailblazers in the first round of the playoffs.

They recently had their seven-game win streak snapped and with their playoff seed set they may rest some key players in this season finale. Utah is led by a defense that ranks 3rd in the league in points allowed.

While the Clippers are in the playoffs as well their seed is not set. They are currently tied with the San Antonio Spurs for the 9th spot in the Western Conference.

They would love to get a win and some help with a Spurs loss to ensure they get the 7th seed in the playoffs and avoid playing the Golden State Warriors in the first round.

The Clip Joint come into this game losers of three in a row and they were crushed by the Warriors in their last game.

The Jazz are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games facing the Clippers in La La Land.

Wednesday April 10 – 10:30 PM EST @ STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, CA

Check out our other NBA Tips which covers the major playoff games.

Utah Jazz Form

The Jazz are in solid form heading into the playoffs and this game does not mean much to them in terms of playoff seeding. Because of that guys like Donovan Mitchell (23.5 ppg) and Rudy Gobert (15.8 ppg 12.9 rpg) may get some rest.

The Clippers sure hope Gobert is on the sidelines, as he may be the frontrunner for Defensive Player of the Year, which he won last season.

Utah Jazz only rank 18th in the league in ppg, but they are pretty deep and have six players that are averaging over 11 ppg. The Jazz have won both of their games facing the Clippers this season.

L.A. Clippers Form

The Clippers lost their 3rd in a row in their last game where they were on the road and fell to the Warriors 131-104. L.A. fell apart in the 3rd quarter being outscored 42-18 and for the game they shot 48.1% from the floor and allowed Golden State to shoot 54.6%.

Lou Williams leads five players for the Clippers averaging in double figures at 20 ppg. He has been in a little bit of a slump to end the season averaging 15 ppg in his last three games where he shot only 33.3% from the floor in each game.

Danilo Gallinari (19.9 ppg) ranks 2nd on the team in scoring and he should go in this game after missing the Golden State game with an ankle injury.

Utah Jazz vs L.A. Clippers tips

While the Clippers have lost three in a row I see them as the pick in this game since Utah will likely rest some key players.

L.A. will get the W at home and hope the Spurs lose their finale to avoid the dreaded #8 playoff seed.

Pick: Clippers SU
