Cincinnati Bengals Form

Following last Sunday’s disheartening 27-17 collapse at Jacksonville, the Bengals, or the “Bungles”, remained winless at 0-7.

The bad news is that if you look ahead on the schedule a winless 0-16 season isn’t totally out of the realm of possibility.

But first things first. This week, Cincinnati has to take its seven-game losing streak across the pond to London where it will be a two-TD underdog against the Rams.

As you would expect, the numbers for this winless team are not good. The Bengals rank dead last in total defense in the NFL, allowing an alarming 431 yards per game.

Offensively, the end may be near for long-time Cinci QB Andy Dalton, who threw three second-half interceptions last week and for the season.

Cincinnati now ranks 27th in the league in offense, averaging 316 yards and 21.6 points per game.

You can’t pin the entire offensive disaster in Dalton when you consider the lack of running game the team has shown this year.

In Sunday’s loss to the Jaguars, Jacksonville outrushed the Bengals 217 to 33 and the Bengals’ leading rusher was Dalton, who ran for all 33 of those yards.

LA Rams Form

The defending NFC Champs snapped a brutal three-game losing streak last Sunday when they went to Atlanta and pounded the pitiful Falcons, 37-10.

It was a much-needed breakout performance for QB Jared Goff and the Rams offense. Following the week before in a 20-7 home loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

The win put the Rams back over the .500 mark at 4-3 and improved the team to 2-1 this season on the road.

Despite that brutal Week 6 performance against the Niners, the Rams are still averaging 27 points per game. That’s seventh-best in the NFL, while the defense has played well for most of the season, ranking ninth overall in the NFL.

The Rams decided to stay on the East Coast following Sunday’s game in Atlanta. That was instead of traveling back to LA before heading across the pond to London.

Cincinnati Bengals vs LA Rams Head-to-Head

Cincinnati has won three in a row in this series. However, that doesn’t have much relevance for this week’s game when you consider the teams have not faced each other since 2015.

Overall, the two franchises have only met 13 times with the Bengals victorious in eight of those games.

Cincinnati Bengals vs LA Rams Predictions

This appears to be a total mismatch, not only when you match up the players and look at the team stats, but also on the sideline.

LA Rams Sean McVay is considered an elite head coach and squares off today against rookie head coach Zac Taylor.

There’s a lot that goes into planning and preparing for a game in London, so you have to think the Rams hold another huge edge in that department.

But as much as this looks like it could be a blowout, you have to pay a premium if you bet the Rams. They are a 13.5 point favorite on a neutral site.

Remember, it was just two weeks ago the Bengals were a 10-point dog at Baltimore. Now, they’re catching two TDs on a neutral site against a 4-3 Rams team.

But since we can’t stand the thought of playing the Bengals plus the points, we’ll go with the under.

One-dimensional offenses are typically dead in the water in the NFL. Cinci’s running game is so bad that the Rams will be able to tee off and come after Dalton.

He may very well be benched in favor of rookie back-up Ryan Finley.

As for the Rams, they are 3-1 to the under with McVay calling the shots when they are listed as a favorite of 10 or more. McVay has no reason to run this score up.

Look for the Rams to make this trek to London a business trip. They could do what it has to in order to win the game and try to go home without any injuries.

Looks like the London fans will be bored at this game as we expect a low-scoring Rams victory.
