Oakland Raiders Predictions

The Raiders had a lot of hype coming into the season with the acquisition of Antonio Brown, however he never played a snap for the club and the Raiders responded with a week 1 win.

Last week they took an early lead and quickly lost it to the high powered Chiefs. The Raiders offense has started off each week with good first quarters.

This is probably because they executed the 15-20 scripted plays very well, however, as the game develops the Raiders lose efficiency.

The offense will have a tough task ahead vs a stout defense from the Vikings. QB Derek Carr needs to be much better than last week vs the Chiefs.

Carr however doesn’t have many viable options outside of TE Darren Waller and WR Tyrell Williams. Rookie RB Josh Jacobs has been very good thus far however is a little banged up.

As of Thursday’s practice reports, it’s possible the Raiders best options Josh Jacobs and Tyrell Williams may not play. If this happens the Raiders offense will be a mess.

The Raiders have limited weapons as it is and the Vikings will be tough to play against even at full strength offensively.

Defensively the Raiders gave up 4 TDs to Mahomes last week and two were deep balls. The secondary has been a bit messy thus far especially with loss of rookie Jonathan Abrams who is done for the year.

The Raiders edge rushers aren’t to feared and if they can’t attack Cousins or stop the run itll be al ong day for Raider nation.

Minnesota Vikings Predictions

On the other side the home team Vikings are nearly a complete team. Kirk Cousins has made a career of beating average teams and that is exactly what the Raiders are.

Cousins hasn’t been putting up many big numbers with the Vikings strong commitment to the run, however he can pick apart this bad Raiders defense with the talented WRs the offense has.

Dalvin Cook currently leads the NFL with 265 rushing yards. Head coach Mike Zimmer loves to establish the run and they will force feed Cook in this game as well.

Cook should have plenty of room to run and carry the squad to another big day offensively. If for some reason the Vikings need to ramp up the passing game Adam Thielen and Stephan Diggs are two talented guys on the outside who have a knack for big plays.

The offense will be fine in this game and shouldn’t experience many hiccups. Defensively the Vikings are sound all around. On the front Danielle Hunter leads the crew along with Dt Linval Joseph.

The LB core is stacked with Barr who is questionable and Kendricks. The safety position is lockdown with Harrison Smith and the outside threats will be locked down by Xavier Rhodes.

Oakland Raiders vs. Minnesota Vikings NFL Week 3 Predictions

The Vikings will win this game at home. The early game for the Raiders, lack of premium threats and the hole in defense will be too much for the Raiders.

Minnesota will be laying a lot of points but they should be able to cover the spread. Captain Kirk Cousins will play well as he does normally vs mediocre teams.

Dalvin Cook will run free and the defense will be lockdown as they’ve been so far this year.
