LA Rams Form

At 5-3, it’s been a streaky season for the defending NFC champion Rams. They come in winners of two straight games after a disappointing three-game losing streak earlier in the year that followed a 3-0 start.

Other than a 20-7 loss to the undefeated 49ers, the Rams offense has been very good. They rank 8th in the NFL in scoring average (26.8 points per game), 10th in total offense (384.5) and 5th in passing (287 yards per game).

The running game has been spotty, being limited to under 100 yards in five of eight games this season.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Rams have been better than their numbers show since they’ve played a solid slate of offenses.

Overall, the team is ranked 12th in total defense and 15th in points allowed.

Pittsburgh Steelers Form

After a rocky start to the season that saw the team lose QB Ben Roethlisberger for season to an injury and open the year 1-4 for first time since 1976, the Steelers have managed to win three games in a row.

They are now at 4-4 they are still in the thick of the hunt for an NFL playoff bid.

While the offense hasn’t exactly been lighting it up, the defense has picked up the slack. After starting the season with two dismal performances, the Steel Curtain defense made some adjustments.

They added a key player in the secondary and has held its last six opponents to just 18 points per game. Only one of those teams have managed to throw for more than 270 yards.

The Steelers are second in NFL in takeaways (22) after creating just 15 all of last season. Also, Pittsburgh’s 29 sacks are the most the team has recorded over the first eight games of the season since 2008.

As for the other side of the ball, Pittsburgh has used three different starters at QB because of injuries. RB James Conner is once again questionable this week with a shoulder injury.

Second-string QB Mason Rudolph is the starter and he leads an offense that ranks near the bottom of the league in almost every category. That includes 28th in total yardage, 26th in rushing and 27th in passing.

Rams vs Steelers Head-to-Head

Pittsburgh has won the last three meetings between the two teams, but it is the Rams that lead the overall series by a count of 15-9-2.

The last meeting, however, was four years ago when Pittsburgh won 12-6 on the road when the Rams were based in St. Louis.

Rams vs Steelers NFL Week 10 Predictions

We think the under 44 points provides great value here today.

First off, the Steelers have historically played low-scoring games when they are catching points. They have gone under in three of four games in that situation this year, as well as a 3-8 mark to the under as a dog the last three seasons.

We also don’t expect big performances from either QB as they face two underrated defenses.

Rudolph has been average at best in his four starts, and is looking very much like the inexperienced QB he really is. While the Rams’ Jared Goff has historically struggled on the road and in cold weather, which is what we can expect late Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh.
