The Stars took control of this series and gained home ice advantage with a 3-2 win over the Predators in Game 1. Dallas’ Ben Bishop (27-15-2 1.98 GAA) got the win stopping 30 of 32 shots and in his last two appearances before the Game 1 win, one in relief and one start, he did not give up any goals.

Bishop ranks 1st in the league in save percentage and 2nd in GAA. Tyler Seguin led the Stars on the season in points, goals, and assists and while he has two goals and three assists in his last five games he was held without a point in the Game 1 win.

Nashville Predators Form

The Predators lost Game 1 at home not playing good defense in the 3rd period and it did not help they could not convert on their four power play opportunities. P.K. Subban and Roman Josi scored in the losing effort and Pekka Rinne (30-19-4 2.42 GAA) took the loss giving up three goals on 29 shots.

Rinne had given up two goals in three straight starts before giving up three in the Game 1 loss.

Ryan Johansen led the P reds in the regular season in points and assists and he has been held without a point in his last two games. Viktor Arvidsson led the team in goals and he has two goals and an assist in his last five games.
