Liverpool Form

The Liverpool train just keeps on rolling, as they made it seven wins from seven last time out against Sheffield United. In truth, the Reds were somewhat fortunate to have come away with all three points as very few people would have argued should the Blades have taken a point.

Georginio Wiljnaldum scored the only goal of the game, but that only tells half the story. The Dutchman’s 18-yard effort was fortunate to have crossed the line as Dean Henderson made a rare mistake to allow the ball to go straight underneath his arms.

The Reds did highlight their title credentials, however, as they continued to push even though they weren’t at their best.

They should have made it two in the second period but Henderson made an excellent save from Mohamed Salah. However, this will be a completely different challenge for the Reds, and they will need to ensure they are focused on the job ahead.

Leicester City Form

Leicester City are emerging as a leading contender for a top-four place after another impressive last time out against Newcastle United.

The Foxes ran rampant at the King Power Stadium to secure their biggest win under former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers. The 5-0 win was the least the Foxes deserved, and the attacking prowess they have could trouble the best of sides.

Jamie Vardy netted twice in that win and will be looking to improve on his seven career goals against Liverpool. Vardy’s record against the top six is staggering as he has scored 34 goals against them.

Defensively the Foxes also look solid, and Caglar Soyuncu has seamlessly taken the place left vacant by Harry Maguire. This will be a huge test for Leicester, but they look ready for it.

Liverpool vs. Leicester City head-to-head

Liverpool holds the advantage in the overall record between the sides having won on 48 occasions. Leicester have won on 39 occasions, and there have been 25 draws.

The last meeting between the sides ended in a 1-1 draw, with Harry Maguire scoring a late equaliser to dent the Reds title bid.

The meeting earlier in the season ended in a 2-1 win for Liverpool at the King Power.

Liverpool Team News

The Reds will once again be without Alisson, while Xherdan Shaqiri will also be missing through a calf injury.

Leicester Team News

Matthew James is out for the Foxes, but Rodgers will be hoping that he will have James Maddison back in his starting line-up.

Liverpool vs. Leicester City EPL Predictions

This is a massive test for Liverpool as they attempt to go into the international break with a healthy lead at the top of the Premier League.

Leicester have all the tools to hurt the Reds, but with their home advantage, it is difficult to bet against Jurgen Klopp’s side making it eight wins from eight.
