Tottenham Hotspur Form

It has been a damaging few weeks for Tottenham Hotspur. They will be pleased that the international break came around when it did to avoid any more mishaps after conceding ten goals in a week against Bayern Munich and Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 7-2 defeat against Bayern was their biggest ever home defeat, while the defeat that followed that at the Amex epitomised everything that is wrong at Spurs at the moment.

A goalkeeping mistake by Hugo Lloris let in Neal Maupay to score the opener before strikes either side of half time from Aaron Connolly condemned Spurs.

It could have been even worse for Pochettino’s side, as Brighton had three further chances to score again.

The pressure is building on Pochettino, and the questions over his long-term future with the club will grow louder with another defeat against the side that are rock bottom of the Premier League.

Watford Form

Watford’s season has already seen them part ways with Javi Gracia, and the pressure of Quique Sanches Flores is already beginning to mount. They failed to kick on from their 2-2 draw with Arsenal after the last international break.

They are the only side left in the Premier League yet to record a win, and there is a feeling that they are now front runners to be relegated this season.

A home draw last time out against Sheffield United did very little to get fans on side. The Hornets failed to create any chances of note in that game, and Chris Wilder’s side pulled further away from the Hornets.

There is no goalscoring threat for Watford at present, and there are defensive mistakes every time they take to the pitch.

Fans are concerned, but they will be boosted with a shock result at the New Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Watford Head-to-Head

Tottenham holds the dominant record in this fixture having won on 31 occasions in the past. The Hornets have recorded eight wins, and there have been nine draws.

Watford did manage to beat Spurs in the league last season, but also lost two them on two occasions, with one of these coming in the League Cup.

Their home win early in that season had fans dreaming of a top-six finish, but it’s fair to say that they are a million miles away from that at present.

Tottenham Team News

Spurs will be without club captain Hugo Lloris until early 2020 after he picked up a nasty shoulder injury in the lead up to the first Brighton goal.

Meanwhile, Giovani Lo Celso also isn’t expected back until November.

Watford Team News

The Hornets will be hopeful of getting Troy Deeney back for this game, but they will be without Sebastian Prodl and Isaac Success.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Watford Betting Tips

This is a must-win game for Spurs. They can’t afford any more slip-ups, and they will get over the line in this game, but it won’t be a convincing display.
