Weekend EPL Betting Tips & Game Previews
The penultimate weekend of Premier League action kicks off on Friday night as Everton take on Burnley at Goodison Park, however, with much still to be decided in the race for the top four, relegation and the eventual destination of the Premier League title; it looks set to be another weekend of high drama in England’s top flight.
However, which matches should punters be taking a closer look at this weekend?
Bournemouth vs Tottenham Hotspur Preview
The action on Saturday gets underway when Spurs travel to the Vitality Stadium knowing that a win is crucial if they are to cement their place in the Champions League next season. Spurs will need to bounce back from a disappointing evening in that very competition on Tuesday.
In which they were played off the park by Ajax in the opening 30 minutes, before failing to make the pressure count in the remainder of the game.
It seems that injuries are beginning to take their toll on this squad, and they certainly missed Heung Min-Son in that fixture. However, the South Korean will be back in the team for their weekend’s fixture; and that will be a welcome sight for Tottenham fans.
Bournemouth are already on the beach having settled for a mid-table finish for the third consecutive season; however, they could look to sign off their home season with a famous win over Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
This could be a goal infested clash between two sides full of flair, but Spurs will run out narrow winners in the end.
Betting Tip: Spurs and both teams to score @ BetOnline
Wolves vs Fulham Preview
Many punters would see Wolves as a home banker this weekend, as they take on the already relegated Fulham side. However, gamblers must first consider the poor record that the Wolves have against the teams in the lowest quarter of the Premier League.
They have already lost to Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United at Molineux this season.
Fulham have enjoyed somewhat of a resurgence since being relegated, as they have won their last three games against Everton, Bournemouth and Cardiff City.
Scott Parker looks a certainty to be given the managers role permanently; and this could be another fixture to ensure that it happens. Aleksandr Mitrovic has been strongly linked with a move to Wolves in the summer, and the Serb looks like one of the few players that will once again be playing in the Premier League next season.
He will be looking to show what Wolves will be buying. Wolves’ season has almost petered out very disappointingly, and they seem unlikely to claim the seventh spot. By no means are they a sure thing in this fixture.
Betting Tip: Fulham or draw (double chance).
Arsenal vs Brighton Preview
The last game of Sunday’s Premier League action sees Arsenal look to end their home campaign with a vital win in the race for the top four.
The Gunners at the Emirates have been brilliant this season, and have only been beaten three times there in all competitions. It will be interesting to see what team Unai Emery puts out for this fixture, as both Arsenal and Chelsea remain in lingo about putting all their eggs in the Europa League basket or not.
It’s likely that this fixture could effectively settle that debate for the Spaniard ahead of their trip to Valencia.
Brighton, on the other hand, could enter the fixture either scrambling for points to sustain the Premier League status, or they could be safe.
That would depend on the ability that Cardiff have of getting the right result. Should the Welsh side pick up the three points, then it means Brighton would need one more point to ensure the Premier League status for the next season.
They would be concerned since, after their fixture against Arsenal, they end the season at the Amex against title-chasing Manchester City. However, they won’t be getting anything in this fixture; as Arsenal will end their season at the Emirates with a dominant performance.
Betting Tip: Arsenal to win and over 2.5 goals.
