Namajunas vs Andrade UFC 237 Predictions

Rose Namajunas won the title when scoring an upset win over Joanna Jedrzejckyk in 2017 and she has been hell bent on defending it since then.

The 26-year-old American has an 8-3 overall record and despite fighting only two times in the last three years, she has class on her side.

Despite giving away experience to Jessica Andrade, who fought twice in 2018 and come up trumps on both occasions. Her first win came via KO in the first round against Karolina Kowalkiewicz and she went three rounds against Tecia Torres.

Andrade has had 25 professional fights compared to 11 from Namajunas. That could make a big difference in this fight and we’re not surprised to see BetOnline install Andrade as the –130 favorite.

Cannonier vs Silva UFC 237 Predictions

There are no spring chickens in this fight between 35-year-old Jared Cannonier and 44-year-old Anderson Silva.

Silva, with 34 wins next to his name, will have the crowd support in Brazil but he’ll need it. He was thoroughly beaten by New Zealand sensation Israel Adesanya over three rounds and he didn’t look like his usual self.

Obviously, Silva is ageing and won’t be as dynamic in 2019 as he used to be, but surely there’s some fighting spirit left. That was his first fight in two years after he scored a win over Derek Brunson at UFC 208.

His opponent Jared Cannonier, is 11-4 and although he’s not the biggest name in the UFC, he has shown some skills in the past. He lost his most recent fight to Dominick Reyes but was stellar when beating David Branch at UFC 230.

“The Killa Gorilla” is a physical specimen and there’s a reason why he’s the short favorite to win. Silva will be up for this fight and there’s good value on offer.

Jose Aldo vs Alexander Volkanovski UFC 237 Predictions

There’s going to be plenty of action in this fight as Jose Aldo fights Alexander Volkanovski in the featherweight division.

Aldo rebounded from his consecutive defeats to Max Holloway in 2017 with wins over Jeremy Stephens and Renato Moicano. He hasn’t lost the power in his hands and he’s going to be a stern test for his opponent here.

Alexander Volkanovski is 19-1 and he’s a tough Australian fighter. A former kickboxer, Alexander Volkanovski scored wins over Chad Mendes and Darren Elkins in 2018m, putting him firmly on the map.

He’s yet to face anyone as dynamic as Aldo, however, so it will be interesting to see how he fares. He has the youth and quickness to beat Aldo, but the Brazilian has his confidence back.

We’re picking Aldo in a close fight.
