NBA Betting Tips – Rockets vs Warriors Game 5

Why Kevin Durant Is Heading To New York

NBA Betting Tips, Predictions & Preview – Rockets vs Warriors Game 5

We have NBA Betting Tips for Game 5 between the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors.

This series is everything NBA fans hoped it would be. The series is tied 2-2 after both teams won their home games and now the series moves back to Oakland.

There have been concerns for Golden State’s physicality against a bruising Rockets side and in a series with plenty of subplots, we’re expecting more drama on Wednesday.

Check out all our NBA sports betting tips.

Houston Rockets Form & News

Some bettors had ruled out the Houston Rockets after falling 0-2 in the series. That should never have been the case, considering they had yet to play a game at home.

Rockets served up some home cooking by winning 126-121 in Game 3 and 112-108 in Game 4. They called upon their star player, James Harden, to get the job done.

However, it wasn’t just Harden who stood up under pressure. Eric Gordon came up big in Game 4 and his contribution, along with Harden’s 38 points, was enough to win.

This is a Rockets side which has less talent across the court than the Warriors but they don’t care. They will keep scrapping until they lose their fourth game of the series.

P.J. Tucker believes the Rockets need to be better on the road, otherwise the series is done.

“We got to be better on the road,” Tucker told reporters. “We have to be more physical. We have to impose our will more. Those first two games wasn’t us. We had chances to win those games, but we didn’t play our brand of basketball for the whole game.”

Tucker is right, Houston needs to be better on the road to win this game.

Golden State Warriors Form & News

Signs that the Golden State Warriors could be tired are visible. They made the decision to play a limited roster for most of the season and now they’re paying the price.

Stephan Curry and Klay Thompson – the Splash Brothers, have been anything but splash this series. They aren’t shooting nearly well enough and it has had a big impact.

Warriors rely on their outside shooting as they don’t have a big man that can match up physically. Kevin Durant isn’t built to defend big guys and most of the other players are undersized.

“We didn’t match their physicality until the last four minutes of the game,” Draymond Green said following their Game 4 loss. “It’s been that way for about the last 96 minutes of the series, so we have to correct that.”

This is leading to poor shot selection and poor conversion rates for the Warriors. However, returning home for two of the last three games is going to help.

Fans and bettors of the Warriors shouldn’t worry too much. They have the ability to turn it on at any point and playing at home is going to help.

The Warriors seemingly don’t lose important games at ORACLE Arena and we wouldn’t bet against them to do so here.
